Our Approach

Hosaka's Board of Directors decides important matters of management and supervises the execution of business by the executive officers. Half of the directors are independent outside directors, with backgrounds in law, accounting, control engineering and railway operations.

Following the inappropriate inspection conduct found at Ina Works in 2019, the Board established an anonymous reporting line that reaches the outside directors directly, moved the inspection sections of all works under the Quality Assurance Division, and receives a report on quality and product security from the responsible executive officer every quarter.

The Company holds shares in other companies only where the holding supports a business relationship, and the Board reviews each holding every year. Holdings that no longer meet this test are sold in stages.

Reporting Concerns

Employees of the Hosaka Group, and employees of our suppliers, can report concerns about compliance, quality or product safety anonymously through a line that reaches the outside directors directly. Reports are not traced, and no one is disadvantaged for making a report in good faith.
